What is your state’s IGL region?

Classification methods for sustainable real estate are separated according to geographic region and climate. Buildings are constructed according to weather tolerances and resource availability. Therefore, we use this aspect as primary and, secondarily, the need for an efficient number of regions for workflows. NAR (National Assn. of Realtors) has thirteen for their statistical and market reporting purposes, and we are using nine to better reflect sustainability and climate.

Region One NorthWest

Idaho, Oregon, Washington

Region Two The West

California, Nevada

Region Three: Northern Rockies and Plains

Idaho, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming.

Region Four Upper Midwest

Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin.

Region Five Southwest

Arizona, colorado, new Mexico, Utah

Region Six South

Region Seven Southeast

Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia

Region Eight, Ohio Valley

Region Nine Northeast
